Life can sometimes put a lot on your plate. For Scott and Terri, Life happened to put plans of a big wedding celebration on hold. A handful of years has gone by since they got engaged, and the two of them finally found the time to get married last November.

Instead of a big celebration, Scott and Terri planned a trip to Vancouver from the Okanagan with their adult children and their partners to catch the Fleetwood Mac concert. With all of them together, they decided to take this opportunity to finally celebrate their relationship and say their vows!

Unknowing to the rest of the family, Terri’s daughter became a certified wedding officiant just before the trip, just in time for their elopement at Spanish Banks. Just before the ceremony, she revealed the news to her family and was met with tears and laughter.

She then followed up by marrying her mother Terri, and new father Scott right on the beach.

Thank you Scott and Terri for inviting to your special day. I am so grateful to have been able to connect with you.

“5 stars without a question, but not just for amazing photos, for also being an amazing human being. We don’t live in Vancouver so we had the task of finding a photographer that could sense who we were without meeting us in person. Through constant communication and many questions, John made that “human connection”. He helped us find that perfect spot on the ocean, it was quiet and intimate and we never would have found it on our own. It poured rain the night before yet out of nowhere we received a confident text telling us that the weather was going to hold out the next day…and he was right! That simple text reminded us that it mattered, we and our special day mattered to him. John’s photography captured our story, full of love, surprise, laughter, tenderness and happy tears. He took our hearts into his hands and with remarkable ability, captured our deepest most vulnerable moments that forever will allow us to relive that very special day. John, you are a special person…keep sharing your talent…we will never find the words to show our gratitude. Again, we thank you.”
