Joannza & Lawrence‘s wedding was not only a day of celebration for the two of them, but it was also an homage to their parents and their stories of immigrating to North America to start anew. This is something I connected with on every level as I would not be living in this beautiful city of Vancouver, without the many sacrifices of my parents growing up. Joannza & Lawrence reside in LA, California and with many guests coming from the south of the border and the East Coast, Vancouver was the middle ground to gather for their big day. The wedding ceremony was held at UBC Botanical Garden followed by a reception at Yue Restaurant in Richmond.
Renan & Sandy travelled from New York to celebrate an intimate wedding at UBC this past weekend. It was a beautiful meeting between Korean & Brazilian culture with Cecil Green Park House as the backdrop. Love is colorful. Love is abundant.
Matt & Chad’s wedding was all about being thankful. Not only was this day about them, but more importantly, it was about the significant people that surrounded them and the love and support that filled the room. Here is a small preview of their special day.

Matt & Christina are two people I love seeing laugh with each other. The overcast day started off with a first look and portraits in Stanley Park & Pacific Spirit Park. The sun came out in full force once we got to UBC! Cecil Green Park House was the backdrop to a beautiful ceremony and reception. It was perfect!
Yesterday was my first wedding of the year! It’s not very often a wedding photographer can be at an event with so many familiar faces but yesterday’s wedding at UBC Boathouse, was the exception. Not too many people really know exactly what I do on a wedding day or have seen me work so it was pretty special to be able to share that side of my life and have friends experience with me, why I love what I do so much. The laughter, the tears, and all of the love that guests feel in a day, I get to experience so many times throughout the year and I couldn’t be more grateful. Congratulations Shawna & Kyle!
