“I love that I can be my complete self around Marcus, without any barriers up. I can just be my crazy and ridiculous self without any fear of judgement. He has created a safe space for me that I will cherish forever.”
-Patrick
“I love how expressive and affectionate he can be. Patrick prioritizes communication between us which I love as I know a relationship built on open communication will stand the test of time.”

Stanley Park Pavilion is such a lovely spot for a Vancouver wedding, surrounded by the greenery of Stanley Park while still being right in the city.
The couple held their ceremony on the front lawn, with their guests gathered around them as they exchanged vows. Shawn from Young Hip & Married officiated the ceremony, guiding everyone through the moment before the celebrations continued.
I always enjoy photographing outdoor ceremonies. There’s a natural ease to having everyone together in an open space, and I love capturing the little things happening throughout — the expressions, the reactions, and the glances between people who know just how much the moment means.
Of course, not every meaningful moment happens during the ceremony itself. Sometimes it’s the reaction of a friend in the audience or a quick hug immediately afterward that ends up being one of your favourite photographs.
After the ceremony, everyone came together for the reception, where the celebrations continued with a lion dance and some beautiful speeches. Sammie Jo of the Power of Threee helped bring the couple’s vision of the day to life!
The lion dance brought a wonderful burst of energy to the day, while the speeches offered a more personal look at the couple and the relationships they’ve built with the people around them.
Speeches are always interesting to photograph because you never quite know what will happen. There’s the person speaking, of course, but then there are all the reactions around the room — the laughter, the tears, the surprised expressions, and the people trying not to get emotional.
Those are the moments I look for when photographing weddings. Not everything needs to be perfectly posed or planned. Some of the best photographs happen when people are simply being themselves.
Your love. Your people. Your story.
