Kyle and Gary celebrated a big gay wedding at Heritage Hall in Vancouver.
The grooms started the day with a ceremony at Celebration Pavilion in QE Park. Their smiles radiated pure happiness as they met at the altar, hand in hand, and exchanged heartfelt vows, promising to love, cherish, and support each other for the rest of their lives. The atmosphere was filled with love, laughter, and an overwhelming sense of unity as the couple sealed their commitment with a tender kiss.
Following the emotional ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests moved to the Heritage Hall on Main Street for the grand reception. This historic venue was the perfect setting for a night filled with laughter, dancing, and toasts to the happy couple. The hall’s vintage charm added an extra layer of warmth and character to the evening.
As the night continued, guests enjoyed a sumptuous meal, heartwarming speeches, and an a show-stopping performance by the incredible perfomance artist, Madam Lola. With a combination of sass and glamour, Madam Lola dazzled the audience with her extraordinary talent. Her performance was a true crowd-pleaser, and it added a unique touch of entertainment to the evening that got everyone dancing. The energy on the dance floor was unreal. The celebration was a perfect reflection of Kyle and Gary’s love – vibrant, inspiring, and composed of a very beautiful community of loved ones.
“John was THE BEST photographer we could have asked for! He was kind, attentive, creative and invisible… a very difficult combo… He made our wedding unforgettable and beautiful.”

One image from their wedding in particular, found above, won Best Photojournalism photo at the West Coast Wedding Awards! A surprise gift from Kyle brought Gary to tears.
I love how the lines of the awning lined up perfectly with Gary’s fingers!
