Hanging out with me and my camera can sometimes be a pain. If I see some good light or something of visual interest, being in front of my lens is inevitable. “Go here. Stand over there. Move to your left!” What started out as innocent location scouting with my good friend Bryana, turned into a mini portrait session. The sun was out in full force in Vancouver (a rare sight these days) … the harsh and squinty kind of light.. but it didn’t matter, it made for some sweet images. Another thing that was good about this day was the fact that she, like most wedding and portrait clients, don’t model professionally and don’t know how to stand or where to put their hands.. I think it is your job as a photographer to help them look their best… even if it means telling the subject to position their bodies certain ways and angles to make the shot more compelling and believable – and today was good practice! The more I shoot and experiment, the more I learn for the better. I can’t wait for the sun to come back once the dreadful rain lets up and the summer ACTUALLY […]
Granville Island is a place where engagement sessions take place frequently, to the point where it can be challenging to be unique and stray away from what has been done before… but when you have couples that just let go and don’t hold back in front of the camera, it doesn’t matter what location you are in… great shots are inevitable! The following is from a session assisting Michael Wachniak.
Kristal is from Vancouver. Makis is from Corfu. How did these two end up meeting, falling in love and getting married in Corfu, Greece? More on that later. 😉 do my homework for me It was two days before the wedding, and a busy day of preparing for Kristal's “Krevati” or “Making the Bed Ceremony” as well as getting the final touches ready for the big day. We managed to find an hour amongst the craziness to stroll through Kouramades, a small village in Corfu, and take some pictures! zp8497586rq speech writing zp8497586rq do my assignment zp8497586rq
After a whole week of beautiful sunshine in Vancouver, the weather took a different turn during this Steveston engagement shoot. It didn't matter though, as Helen and Chris were full of laughs and the connection between them was truly evident. This part of Steveston is where they had their first date, so it was fitting to have this session here. This is an area where a lot of engagement shoots are done so I did my very best to put my personal spin on things. Thank you for a great time guys, and I look forward to the wedding in August! buy viagra online curare i funghi della pelle zp8497586rq zp8497586rq
I got the chance to go along with Michael Wachniak (blog post) on this engagement session at QE Park. The weather was a little on the gloomy side, but the laughs during this shoot made up for that and more. debt consolidation loans for bad credit zp8497586rq

A special thank you goes out to Christin and Wes for letting me be a part of their daughter’s 1st birthday. Their home was sensory overload. The decor was superb and the food was delicious. However, the most apparent thing on that day was the love that surrounded this beautiful little girl – so much love and laughter that day!
