This Loft at Earls gay wedding in Vancouver was full of colour, sunshine and love.
Michael and Zach have been together for over a decade. They met online and have been together ever since. Taking the time to make memories travelling and seeing the world together over the years had put marriage on the end of their priority list and is something that hadn’t become a reality until now.
The day started off at Opus Hotel https://vancouver.opushotel.com/en-us with the ladies of Save the Date Beauty http://www.savethedatebeauty.com/ getting everyone ready for the day. I love Opus Hotel for it’s bold coloured walls, art and big windows!
Before we left for portraits, Michael and Zach put boutineers on each other’s suits. These were made by Arbutus Florist https://www.arbutusflorist.com/ who also made the rest of the floral arrangements for the day.
The ceremony and reception was held at Loft at Earls in Yaletown https://earls.ca/event-spaces/the-loft-at-earls-yaletown. This space is a beautiful and intimate location and sits just on top of the Earls restaurant overlooking Mainland Street.
The guests each took turns blessing the rings before Michael and Zach said their vows with the help of Shawn of Young Hip and Married https://www.younghipandmarried.com/!
Cocktail hour vibes were provided by Nikita Afonso https://www.nikitaafonso.com/.
Cristie of Umbrella Events https://www.umbrellaevents.ca/ planned, coordinated and executed all of the big and small details of the day including the setup of the reception decor, ambiance and overall flow of the night. It was stunning.

It’s a privilege and honour to share these experiences with you.
Vancouver gay and LGBTQ2S+ weddings are close to my heart. The opportunity to capture love that is not always accepted, especially in different parts of the world and many cultures is truly an honour. It is a privilege to live in a city like Vancouver, where I can document love as a gay wedding photographer, and experience and share in these celebrations with my couples.
